Dear Colleagues,

For those of you attending the ASN convention on April 15-17 at Columbia University and those based in the greater New York area, several announcements:

1) the AAUS will hold its business meeting on Saturday, April 17, from 1:15 to 2:45 p.m. in Room 1512, International Affairs Building at Columbia. 

The new winners of AAUS prizes for best article and best book-length translation from Ukrainian into English will be announced at the meeting. 
We will also be holding by-elections for positions in which officers are currently continuing from the previous leadership roster.

2) the acclaimed New York-based Yara Arts Group will be premiering their new production, Scythian Stones, featuring the great singer Nina Matvienko, at LaMama ETC, 74 A East 4th St. in the East Village, starting Friday, April 16.
