aaus-list @ ukrainianstudies.org -- [aaus-list] Changes to aaus-list

Dear Colleagues,
There have been several lines of stress in the list that have built
up in the past months. These have included concerns from our ISP over
copyrighted material being archived in our files, the inclusion of
non-academic/research-oriented posts in the list, and some ad hominem
material. To address these concerns, I have, as listowner, changed
the list to a moderated format. This means it is similar to the way
that the Early Slavic Studies list is run. When you post to the list
henceforth, the posts will wait for authorization. I will approve
those that are appropriate and forward them to the list. Those that
would be of interest to the list but should not be archived in order
to keep them within fair use will be sent by a route that will not
put them in the archives. Anything that is off topic will be returned
to the person posting the message with an explanation. I think this
change will help the list in terms of the various things currently
pulling at it. I ask that we all see how this goes for the next month
or so and then we will assess, as a group, what we think of it
compared to what we have had recently.
Please keep the Ukrainian studies-focused posts coming!
Respectfully,
Robert De Lossa, for aaus-list
