The American Association for Ukrainian Studies is an organization devoted to the advancement of Ukrainian studies in the United States and other countries. Dues-paying members receive the AAUS newsletter (Visnyk) and the journal Harvard Ukrainian Studies. Members become part of AAUS-list, an e-mail community of scholars and professionals involved in Ukrainian studies. They are also able to participate in AAUS-sponsored events at conventions of the ASN and AAASS. The AAUS meets twice a year at the annual conventions of the ASN and AAASS, and at other times as appointed by the executive board or by petition of the membership. American participants in the world congresses of the IAUS (held every three years; the latest took place in Donetsk in June 2005) must be members of the AAUS. Membership dues are $20 (US) per year for students and retirees, $40/year for faculty and professionals, and $60/year for joint memberships (two listings, one set of mailings). You can join the AAUS by filling out an application form, either on-line or by mail. For forms, click on the links in the left column of this page, or write to the AAUS. You may also contact the Secretary-Treasurer, Adriana Helbig. |
