The Institute for Human Sciences (IWM) in Vienna has recently
published a new call for application in cooperation with the Center
for Urban History of East Central Europe in Lviv (Ukraine):

The Junior Visiting Fellowship for a Scholar from UKRAINE

This new joint fellowship program supports research on the legacies
of Europe in the history of Ukraine. Topics include modern
intellectual, cultural, social and political history. Themes related
to urban studies or to one of the IWM´s research foci will be
welcome.

CONDITIONS
The fellow will spend a ten-month term from September 2010 to June
2011 at the IWM in Vienna. The stipend will cover accommodation,
living expenses, travel, health insurance and incidentals during the
stay at the Institute. Furthermore, the IWM will provide an office,
access to the internet, in-house research facilities and other
relevant sources in Vienna.

ELIGIBILITY
Candidates for the Fellowship
o must be Ukrainian citizens or permanently reside in Ukraine for
purposes of study or research
o must be enrolled in a doctoral program or have recently obtained a
Ph.D.
o must not be older than 35 years

APPLICATION
The application consists of the following:
o a project proposal in English (not more than 3 double-spaced pages)
o a curriculum vitae including a list of publications
o two letters of recommendation
