Title: Golos Rossii to start programming in Ukrainian
I don't know if anyone has already posted this. It would be interesting to discuss the possible consequences of this new initiative in neighborly relations between Russia and Ukraine. It is interesting that this initiative coincides with the suspension of Ukrainian programmin of Voice of America and after the coup de grace to the Ukrainian section of  Radio Canada International. Now Ukrainians, who did not listen to the Russian-languagae programs from Russia will be able to do so in Ukrainian. Orlovsky, the head of the SNG committee in the Russian Duma, made the aim of the programming quite clear when he said that "now citizens of the near abroad will be able to get objective information about Russian affairs, which are often deformed in the their own press". Russia is slowly but surely reclaiming it's near abroad...
