Dear Colleagues,

I have on several occasions written to editors about such matters and
they have apologized for the fact that this occurs. My understanding is
that this is a quirk of the internet age: the editors have indicated
that they themselves do not control which ads appear on their portals,
but rather, that clients pay for ad space. Because "dating services"
(and not the museums) are the ones purchasing ads on internet portals,
they are given space on webpages that use their key words, such as
"Ukraine."

Perhaps this is also true with the German news site.
