She may be wrong with 2,000 casualties (Human Rights Watch reported a
much lower number), but she is right about the negligible coverage of
the Russian side of the story in U.S. media.

In my personal observations, even President Bush and Defense Secretary
Gates (to a higher extent) have been more balanced in their
assessments of facts than most major U.S. media. Time magazine was the
most balanced U.S. media outlet.

By "balanced" I mean willingness to consider facts and opinions from
the other side of the conflict, not necessarily their fair assessment.
