Subject: Ukrainian crime fiction

Dear Professor Bilaniuk,

My name is Jeremy Dwyer. I am a research assistant and sometime
lecturer and tutor at Monash University (Australia).

I have been invited by University of Wales Press to put together a
proposal for an edited volume on contemporary Central and Eastern
European crime fictions. However, my sole field of expertise is
Russian detektiv, and thus I am seeking out scholars who can shed light
on the genre's development in other parts of Central and Eastern
Europe.

It is for this reason that I am writing: to seek your assistance as a
scholar who has strong research interests in the Ukraine and popular
culture. I wondered whether your interests include Ukrainian crime
fiction, or if you know of any other scholars who are researching
Ukrainian crime fiction and might be interested in contributing a
chapter to this volume.

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely, Jeremy Dwyer.
