THE UKRAINIAN BANDURIST CHORUS - KAPELIA BANDURYSTIV": Presents its
concert titled "Bandura - The Soul of Ukraine". The internationally
renowned 52 member all male chorus with instrumentalists based in
Detroit, Michigan will perform this Sunday - May 6th at The Great
Hall at Cooper Union - 7 East 7th Street at Third Avenue in New
York City at 2:00 p.m.. Tickets ($25.00 General Admission, Students
and Seniors $18.00) may be purchased at Surma Book & Music Store -

day of the show. The Chorus celebrating its 89th Anniversary
showcases the national instrument of Ukraine - the Bandura - a 46
stringed instrument highlighting a repertoire of Ukrainian sacred,
folk and historic music. The concert also commemorates the 100th
anniversary of the birth of Hryhory Kytasty, musician, composer and
