The Saudis were very consistent in the midfield controlling their
possessions well but not being able to finish though coming fairly close
to Ukraine's goal. Ukraine's strength seemed to be in the breakaway with
Shevchenko and Voronin in the forward/striker positions as well as Rebrov
in the midfield. Nevertheless, Tymoschuk and Kalinichenko looked as
though they were strong midfielders/playmakers either finding Shevchenko
and/or Voronin or in Kalinichenko's case scoring a goal himself.

No question Ukraine looked very different (i.e. stronger, more determined
and more in control) from their debut game against Spain. It was that
finesse of controlling a possession (which you know Brazil can do but
haven't quite seen in any of Brazil's games). I'm nitpicking a bit.

The ref in this game was very good and fair (English), unlike the one in
the Spain/Ukraine game (Swiss) or the Italy/US one (Uruguayan)
