    I wrote to Vitaly  without seeing your note. 
Yes, there will be a meeting of AAUS and yes, Saturday from 1.l5 to 2.45
(lunchtime) is perfect.  We will serve drinks and small sandwiches. 
As soon as this is confirmed and Gordon gives us a Room number, I will 
send out another notice to our members.

    My proposal to have a separate session on the MAUP controversy did not 
meet with any success.  Frankly, no one answered, except Alex - who will 
be observing elections in Ukraine and cannot attend.   However, since we 
postponed the AAUS elections to November, I inted to discuss this 
problem during our Meeting at ASN,  at least to the extend it 
concerns future responses to such issues from our organization.

     Plese let me know if a separate list of Ukrainian session can be 
available.  If not, we will make sure that there is one.
