TOMORROW:
The Ukrainian Studies Program at Columbia University will host a lecture
by Prof. Alfred Stepan about Ukraine and the concept of “nation-state”
vs. “state-nation,” comparing Ukraine with other countries.
Prof. Stepan is a Wallace Sayre Professor of Government at Columbia
whose teaching and research interests include comparative politics,
theories of democratic transitions, federalism, and the world’s
religious systems and democracy.
This lecture will be held in Room 1219 (12th floor) of the International
Affairs Building at Columbia University (420 W. 118th St.), starting at
12:00pm.
Free and open to the public.
