NEW YORK: The Shevchenko Scientific Society (NTSh) invites the public to
a program honoring the memory of the society's two outstanding leaders:
the first president of NTSh in America, Dr. Ivan Rakovsky (1874-1949),
and the recently deceased president of NTSh in Ukraine, Dr. Oleh Romaniv
(1928-2005). There will be a presentation of the just published book
"Ivan Rakovsky" by Ivan Holovatsky, followed by an evening of
reminiscences about Dr. Romaniv. The program will take place at the
society's building, 63 Fourth Ave. (between Ninth and 10th streets) at 5
p.m. For additional information call (212) 254-5130.

Literary Bazaar featuring poetry readings by Bohdan Rubchak, Oleksander
Irvanets and Vasyl Makhno. The program will take place at the society's
