Then, beginning in December, coordinating their efforts and resources,
the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America, Brooklyn Ukrainian Group,
Columbia University Ukrainian Studies Program, and Shevchenko Scientific
Society present “Race for the Rada”, a series of monthly discussions on
hot, election-related topics leading up to Ukraine's March 2006
parliamentary elections. Anticipated topics for discussion and debate
include:
-- The importance or triviality of the Ukrainian language for the
electorate;
-- The influence of artists, celebrities, and writers during the Orange
Revolution and leading up to the Parliamentary elections
-- The influence of Russia and other outside forces on Ukraine’s elections;
-- Up-to-date analysis by political pundits immediately before the
parliamentary elections about what can be expected to take place during
and after the vote; and,
-- Ukrainian Congress Committee of America orientation for International
Election Observers.
Detailed information about the time and location of each discussion
event will be provided in advance of each event.
A portion of the proceeds from these events will go towards
administrative costs associated with sending election observers to the
March 2006 Parliamentary elections in Ukraine, via the Ukrainian
Congress Committee of America’s non-partisan election monitoring effort.
Yes, in fact, RAZOM NAS BAHATO!
