Title: Ukrainian parliament approves bill to send battalion to Kuwait

KYIV. March 19 (Interfax-Ukraine) - The
Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada has registered a bill put forward by President
Leonid Kuchma on ratifying an agreement between Ukraine and Kuwait, the
Ukrainian parliament's official website reported on Wednesday.
   Under this document, the 19th Ukrainian independent radiochemical
battalion will provide assistance to Kuwaiti civil population in
overcoming the consequences of the possible use of weapons of mass
destruction. 
   The parliament also registered the president's bill authorizing his
decision to send this battalion to Kuwait.
