Speaking of press secretaries, whatever happenned to Dmytro Markov?
He was the press official at the Embassy of Ukraine in Washington back in
1993. Later I saw that he became press secretary for Lonya Danylovytch.

One of the things which struck me most was his command of English; it was
flawless in what would be considered clear unaccented American English
(generally that of a middle-classs Chicagoan).

I believe that za chasakh radian'nskoho soyuzu he was editor/writer for
Ukraine's English language newspaper.

Do tell.
