Britannia:  Empire and
Nations on Europe's peripheries.

A special edition of SKHID-ZAKHID 4 (2001) devoted to an examination of
the
relationship between national identities and institutions in the western
and eastern peripheries of Europe. Authors compare tsarist policies
towards Ukraine and Poland with English policies towards Scotland and
Ireland, and the reaction of Ukrainians, Poles, Scots and Irish to those
policies.
